MAA Riverside

I just wanted to shout out the excellent tour I received today from Ayana. She was professional, diligent, personable, and very knowledgeable about the property. She immediately made me feel welcome and was never pushy or salesy. This was the second time I have visited the property and for the first visit she answered the phone on a busy Saturday spoke to me about the property for at least five minutes and then got me in for a tour on two hours notice despite being fully booked for the day. She has never rushed me and took her time showing me all of the amenities and floor plans in detail. I have toured several “luxury” complexes throughout various locations around Atlanta and this is the best service I have received. Thank you, Ayana!

I have lived at MAA "Post" Riverside for four years. I have enjoyed the beauty of our community, the fabulous neighbors. the close proximity to the Chattahoochee River and Chattahoochee Recreation Area. I also like the quick "back way" to Buckhead and shopping. I love the high ceilings, large windows and view of the woods from my sunroom and balcony in my home. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, that wants close proximity to downtown and the interstates, MAA Riverside is a great community. You can tell the commitment of a property manager, not when everything goes right - but when you need help. After experiencing the coldest winter in 40 years, here in metro Atlanta, we had pipes bursting in our development. I saw on the news this also happened in homes, communities and businesses all across Atlanta, including our airport. Our property manager, Mary Brittain Dolive was *on it*. An email was sent out and she was on site personally on a record cold *Christmas Eve* to check on residents with a work crew. She knocked on my door, and I have never been so happy to see anyone! It makes such a difference knowing management cares when you are going through an experience like we did here at MAA Riverside. Her personal visit meant so much to me. Five Stars Management and Maintenance at MAA Riverside. Shout out to Brandton, my favorite maintenance man. Living here is not "perfect" (nothing is) but MAA Riverside is my awesome place I call home.

My husband and I lived at MAA Riverside for 5 years in an apartment on the square. We really enjoyed it when we moved in, but we were more than ready to leave by the time we left. Pros: The apartment was decent sized for the price with covered and gated parking. They are also renovating older apartments as people move out so you will likely be in an apartment that has been renovated in the last 5-10 years. The employees were always very nice as were our neighbors. It’s also a very convenient location. It’s very close to a national park. The gym is one of the best I’ve seen in an apartment complex. Cons: It felt like the quality of the place slipped over the five years we were there. Things began breaking regularly and/or weren’t well-maintained. For example, the pool is dirty a lot and the gate to the parking garage and the elevator to our apartment break a lot (gate felt almost weekly and elevator like every other month). Also, the roof of our 4th floor apartment leaked regularly over the course of our time there no matter how many times they tried fixing it. You will likely occasionally smell weed in hallways and inside of the apartment and, if you live on the square near the restaurant, then you need to be comfortable with occasional noise from drunk customers and private events that they will have. Also, packages could get stolen. A lot of times they were stolen before they got to the complex (always ones delivered USPS), but once one was stolen straight from our doorstep and then returned torn open (I guess it wasn’t worth it?). Also, a lot of people seem to let their dogs go to the bathroom in the elevator, hallways, and next to the building entrance, so you need to dodge it. The leasing office sends out emails and I think they have been trying to address it, but I don’t think there’s much they can do if they don’t see it in the moment. Finally, MAA as a company does not account well for how long you’ve lived in an apartment when you move out and expect it to be the way it was on day one. We have always been very clean individuals but were charged for very minor things that were within normal wear and tear after five years.

Ayana Alston was the most friendly, customer service oriented leasing consultant I have ever worked with in my life. She is responsive, effective, and knew exactly what we needed in an apartment and “new home.” Troy, her manager, knew exactly what to do-she is magnificent. Together, they work like the best management team I have ever worked with in my life. They were consistently cheerful, extremely knowledgeable, exceedingly professional and just a pleasure to work with in finding a great apartment! Thank you, Ayana & Troy!! You two are amazing!

I can not say enough about my apartment home at MAA Riverside. From the start of the leasing process to the final move in they go way above and beyond to make it flawless, they are always available, and repley quickly to any questions. MAA really cares about the appearance of the property in all areas and a big plus are the beautiful containers of flowers and landscaping . Something also that is very important in an apartment community is the Maintence team, they take care of issues quickly and are very professional, and do a great job! Definitely a great place to call home. I lived here for 7 years , moved away and could not wait to return.
